4 Reasons Why We Fail To Solve The Problem

The problem in this case is losing weight or gaining health. Said another way, it is keeping the weight off. I have tried every diet in the world and some measures too drastic to mention. What I came to realize was so simple, yet profound. The solution is NOT a diet. Then we can also clarify this by adding that a diet ALONE is not the solution. To effect sustainable weight loss requires regaining your health (health in your heart, mind, and soul). You cannot solve the external problem without doing some internal renovation.

DIETING ALONE WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM

Diet by its very definition implies a TRANSIENT change. Regaining your health and losing excess body fat is a lifelong endeavor. It is not fix it today and go back to doing the unhealthy. It is fix it and keep doing the healthy to persevere or sustain it. I learned that after trying to diet at least a thousand times. What can I say, I am stubborn. No, I can say that I lacked knowledge and understanding that my choices were creating my weight issues. I lacked knowledge and understanding that it was about more than just my physical needs, it was also about my emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. It was a failure to understand that I did not know the impact of my CORE BELIEFS on my lifestyle. So even after succeeding on every diet, I FAILED to keep the weight off because I did not KNOW or UNDERSTAND that what was driving my actions were my feelings. Furthermore, I was creating those emotions and feelings based on my NEGATIVE core beliefs and FAULTY thinking patterns.

WE MUST RENOVATE INTERNALLY FIRST

The inside state drives our external actions. Our moods created by our beliefs and thoughts lead to our STATE of being. We are either in an ACCEPTING state or a REJECTING state. If you prefer, we are either in an ABUNDANT state or a LACKING STATE. One state leads to internal joy, peace, and contentment, which leaves you with clarity and allows you to act or make choices that benefit your TOTAL HEALTH. The other state leaves you chaotic, confused, jumbled, irritated, restless, stressed, anxious, which leads to you making POOR and UNHEALTHY choices daily. These choices go against what you desire and yet you struggle to change them. Why? Buried deep in your heart, mind, and soul you are holding on, consciously or subconsciously to beliefs that will derail you from achieving your desired goal.

4 REASONS YOU FAIL TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

  1. You do not KNOW that your actions are driven by your beliefs and thoughts. You do not know that your beliefs and thoughts must be in spiritual alignment for you to consistently make healthy choices and actions. You believe that you can make change solely by your willpower.
  2. You do not UNDERSTAND that you are already fully equipped with the power to effect sustainable change because you do not understand that it is what you are failing to believe that is blocking you from success.
  3. You are not APPLYING what you have learned, because you are still holding on to negative or unrealistic beliefs. Or, you are applying the solution, but sporadically or inconsistently.
  4. You lack CONSISTENT COMMITMENT in making healthy lifestyle changes. You are not fully committed to the idea that this is worth your investment of money, energy, or time. This is most closely tied to your unhealthy core beliefs, faulty patterns of thinking, and your poor or unhealthy attitude.
